UK Budget 2025

The 2025 Budget was one of the most significant tax-raising fiscal events in recent British history. We wanted to understand how the Chancellor’s announcements landed with voters, and what this means for technology companies as they navigate difficult policy debates. 

In particular, how can tech companies best position themselves with policymakers and the public, in a context of political anger and economic malaise?

To do so, we conducted a nationally representative poll of British adults in the days following the Budget. The results provide some hints at a way through this challenging environment.
